  1. Day of Certification Procedures:
    1. Make sure that you have all player ID’s, and they are placed in order of how players appear on the roster.
      1. Only MVA ID’s, Military ID’s or MMYFCL ID’s that are not expired by August 1st, 2017 are valid. Passports will not be accepted.
      2. MVA ID receipts will be accepted at roster certification, but not at games. You will need the actual ID in hand to play in a game.
      3. Any player without a valid ID will not be on a certified roster. The player will either be taken off the roster, and can be added back on recertification days, or you will leave the roster certification without a certified roster. There are no exceptions to this.
    2. Make sure that all Coaches and Team Admins have all their necessary paperwork completed and in order.
      1. Coaches must provide a printed copy of their concussion certificate or proof of passing a concussion course, a printed copy of their USA Football certificate with a passing date of 2017 on it, and a signed copy of the MMYFCL Coaches Code of Conduct, which can be found on www.mmyfcl.org under the “League Documents” tab.
      2. Team Admins must provide a printed copy of their concussion certificate or proof of passing a concussion course and a signed copy of the MMYFCL Coaches Code of Conduct, which can be found on www.mmyfcl.org under the “League Documents” tab.
      3. If Coaches or Team Admins do not have printed copies of these documents and wish to use an electronic copy, this will drastically add to your certification time.
      4. Any coach without these documents will not be on a certified roster. The coach will either be taken off the roster, and can be added back on recertification days, or you will leave the roster certification without a certified roster. There are no exceptions to this.
  1. Failure to follow any of the above procedures will drastically increase your time at roster certification. We have had teams who show up with everything ready and prepared to go and have taken twenty minutes to get six teams certified, and we have had teams take three hours to get one team certified. It all depends on how organized you are when you show up to roster certifications. Below are some last quick hints to get you through the process easily and quickly:
    1. Arrive on time! Waiting until almost the end of roster certification and having mistakes on your roster, is a very easy way to not have your roster certified that night. Please remember that everyone who is certifying your roster is also a volunteer who would like to get home to their family as much as you do.
    2. Make sure to proofread your rosters before sending. Any typos or misspellings in a player’s name or date of birth will result in added time to fix the issue.
    3. Have everything organized and ready to hand over to the certification official as soon as you sit down at the table. If there is an issue with a coach or player not having the necessary documentation, let them know at the beginning.
